How Does Washable Incontinence Underwear Work?

How Does Washable Incontinence Underwear Work?

Thanks to ongoing major advances in textile technology, we have developed TENA washable incontinence underwear. This seriously comfortable underwear provides reliable protection against light bladder leaks in a design that looks and feels just like your regular underwear.

Our textile technology relies on straightforward principles, concentrating on four main areas of innovation — protection, comfort, discretion, and safety. We've thoughtfully applied all four areas to our product design so that you can live with confidence while facing light leaks.

How does TENA washable incontinence underwear protect against leaks?

Our washable incontinence underwear styles use advanced layered protection to effectively absorb and manage light leaks. While the exact materials and location of these layered protective areas slightly differ between products, they all work to help you with the same core combination of textile technology

  • A moisture-wicking layer that quickly drains the surface material to keep your skin dry.

  • Two absorption layers that draw in liquid.

  • A liquid barrier layer that holds the liquid in the product.

For men, a secure, invisibly built-in absorption zone locks in leaks with 4-layers of protection.

For women, our washable Soft Cotton underwear features a built-in protective 4-layer gusset (a piece of material inserted into clothing to provide extra protection). This gusset invisibly protects against bladder leaks.

Our washable TENA Silhouette underwear features a similar gusset but with a secure absorption zone. This includes TENA Triple Protection against leaks, odour and moisture.

Is TENA washable incontinence underwear comfortable and discreet?

In a word, yes!

TENA washable incontinence pants are designed for comfort. All of our styles for men and women use soft, breathable materials that allow for natural movement while providing a discreet fit. Is TENA washable incontinence underwear safe to use?

The safety of our products is hugely important. All of our TENA washable incontinence underwear options have the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label for textiles tested for harmful substances.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is a globally recognised certification that makes sure textiles and fabrics are free from harmful substances and safe for human health. Established by the OEKO-TEX Association, this standard evaluates each product, checking for things like toxic chemicals and harmful dyes.

This standard is particularly important for clothing products, as it promotes transparency in the textile industry and encourages manufacturers to practice sustainable production.

With the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label, you can be assured that we've designed underwear that can be worn safely and confidently.
